"Bird Observer" Cover Competition
In August-September 2011 we conducted a special competiton to find an image of a Superb Fairy-wren which would appear on the cover of the final edition of the "The Bird Observer" magazine published by BOCA. The winning image (Image ID 4622) was submitted by Nicole Andrews.
"Birds and Water" Competition - Member Voting Results
The Birds and Water competition was held between February and May 2011. The winning entry was Jenny Spry's Shy Albatross (Image no longer available); second - by only a single vote - was Ian Mayo's New Holland Honeyeater (Image no longer available); and third was Murray Chamber's Yellow-tufted Honeyeater (Image ID 3815).
"Australian Honeyeaters" Competition - Member Voting Results
The Australian Honeyeaters competition was held between October 2010 and January 2011, and attracted 38 entries. The winner was Trevor Wood's image of a Pied Honeyeater (Image ID 2782); second was Mark Horvath's Yellow Honeyeater (Image no longer available); third was Murray Chambers' New Holland Honeyeater (Image ID 2687).
