CommentFor this photo I took advantage of the sun going behind a cloud, allowing softer light to highlight the beautiful mottled patterns of the brown, beige, cream, grey and black plumage on the back of this bird. There was still ample light to allow a high enough shutter speed to freeze the bird’s motion as it walked away and yet still maintain a relatively low ISO to maximise image quality with low noise levels.
EquipmentCanon 7D Mark II with Canon EF 600mm f4/L USM non IS lens at 600mm, 1/3200 sec, f5.0, ISO 400 on tripod.
