Welcome to our new Photo Gallery, designed to show the work of BirdLife Photography Group members in capturing wonderful images of Australian birds.

All of our photos are stored in galleries - see the Our Galleries page for more details.  Several items in the Photo Gallery menu will open a page showing a collection of "thumbnail" images; most of these have extensive filtering facilities to enable you to rapidly find images of a specific bird, and/or by a specific photographer, and/or in a specific gallery, and/or ...  You can also choose to change the sort order; the default sort order for all galleries is to display newest images first.  Simply click on a thumbnail image to open the full-size image in a separate page, with all details shown.  There is also a page that shows the latest 4 photos (within the last three months) from each of our photographers.  You can control how many images are shown on the thumbnail pages by changing the number in the "Return nn items" box; any change made here will take effect on the next paging action, and at that time the labels on the Next/Previous/First nn images will change to show the new value; this will remain in effect until you close your web browser.  Members can also control this by setting the List Limit value (default is 20) in the My Account page; this change will apply permanently.

The Show Image page, which shows individual images, allows you to browse through the current set of images by clicking near the left or right edge of the current image to move to the previous or next image, respectively.  It also allows you to view a "slideshow" of related images, via a series of links near the bottom of the page; and it allows you to move to the previous or next image in these related image groups.
