Congratulations to Robin Spry, who has been named the BirdLife Photography Member of the Year for 2024.

Robin has been the BirdLife Photography membership coordinator role for several years.  It is an important position, as it is our first contact with new members, as well as prospective new members.

During the past year, Robin has worked with BirdLife Australia to improve the accuracy of our membership records, which BirdLife Australia maintain for us.  Part of this initiative has resulted in us improving the timeliness of notifications in relation to new and renewing members.  We are now able to access daily advice of membership updates, which enables Robin to issue welcome letters and grant website access more quickly than we were previously able to.

In 2024, Robin won the member vote for our Best of 2023 competition, and with good results in the remaining competitions for the year, achieved a competition medal, resulting in moving up a level.
