Posting a New Topic

When posting a new topic, please ensure that you select the correct category for your post in the top drop-down box of the edit window. The default entry is the first category shown on the All Categories page; this is unlikely to be the category that you want. The Category drop-down box will be present if you click the New Topic tab in the Forum menu; if you are viewing a particular category of the Forum and you use the New Topic button in the Category Header section, the drop-down box will not be present, and your new post topic will automatically appear in the category that you are viewing.

Having trouble identifying a bird? Hopefully, someone here can help. You can include either/both picture and/or audio (.wav or .m4a) files.

This is a request for the correct ID and name .considered to be a Little Shrike Thrush found at lower altitudes ie less than 400m but image taken at Hasties Swamp Atherton Tablelands 825 m . Location of Bowers Shrike Thrush and just to confuse the issue known locally as the Rufous Shrikethrush ref ( Field guides to birds of North Queensland. Gregory & Matsui ) I will send more images not accessible from ipad

added extra images and have just used app I Naturalist uses name Rufous Shrike thrush

If you have any other images particularly showing the head and bill, it might help.  I think it will be difficult to form a definitive opinion on these images alone, which only show the back of the bird clearly.
