CommentThis Button-quail image was taken very early one winter's morning in 2011. The sun was just rising and the bird had been scratching small bare patches in the ground, foraging for food. The image illustrates the advantage of shooting in RAW. You can revisit your image and re-process whenever you upgrade your processing skills or software.
EquipmentNikon D300, Nikon 500 mm F/4.0 VRII lens, Acratech long lens head, Gitzo tripod.
