| Comment | Effortless Hunting - A spotted nightjar rests peacefully amidst a patch of barren ground while awaiting an opportunity to seize a meal. Comfortably, it sits idle with its wings tightly tucked as the wind blows across, ruffling its feathers. Avoiding strenuous movements, the nightjar makes minimum movements as it observes its surroundings and stealthily stalks its prey from afar. I've submitted this photo to this competition as it represents my best nocturnal shot for nocturnal birds in 2022 while depicting a spotted nightjar's habitat. | ||||||||||||||||||
