CommentI have posted this image because it shows the raised crest which according to HANZAB is a threat display, perhaps directed towards the photographer. The image also shows moulting of the neck and facial feathers with pin-feathers emerging. Body moult and its timing are not well recorded for this species.
EquipmentCanon R3 + 600 mm f/4 III + 1.4x III extender, hand-held.
