CommentIt's not easy to spot Brown Goshawks when they stay still high in the tree. This one moved and I caught the movement out of the corner of my eye. I was on a path going up a ridge so it wasn't that much higher than I was. I'm not sure if the one leg held up is because of damage to the foot/leg or a habitual behaviour. [Moderator's Note: GRC; some species of birds at rest often sit on one leg; sometimes changing the resting leg if remaining in the one place for an extended time. Raptors and parrots/cockatoos are examples where this behaviour is observed]
