CommentIbis are not the most photogenic species, so when I saw this lone bird perched on a tall, single dead branch in space, I saw an opportunity to try something creative and composed a minimalist, high-key shot. Although taken in full colour, the white background along with the black and white bird, and grey perch gives the whole scene a monochrome feel.
EquipmentCanon EOS 1DX MKII, Canon EF 100-400mm F/4.5-5.6 L II, F/7.1, 1/1600, ISO 2500 and post-processed using DPP4 & PS.
