CommentAn Osprey perches atop an old dead tree looking over its territory in typical habitat for these majestic birds of prey. They are regularly sighted sitting high above the coastal canopy and heath resting or feeding. What attracted me to this scene was the way the morning light was cascading over the distant hillside and contrasting with the shaded foreground. The layers of trees in the distance add depth while the shadows and old branches create a strong leading line through the frame.
EquipmentCanon EOS 1DX MKII, Canon EF 100-400mm F/4.5-5.6 L II, F/11, 1/3200, ISO 1250 and post-processed using DPP4 and PS.
