CommentBecause these guys move so quickly around the water and even though I have shot this resident many times I have felt I can do better and I think this ticked most of the boxes for me. Of course I would like to have had the tail feathers sharper but everything else is really great focus wise. Great eye contact here and good head angle with exposure just right. I enjoyed the contrast with the water colour and the ripple rings provide a nice informal frame.
