CommentThe Images Needed web page seeks photos of Greater Flamingos.

According to Tim Low's blog on the Australian Geographic web site (http://www.australiangeographic.com.au/blogs/wild-journey/2017/02/australia-was-once-full-of-flamingos), "Flamingos are still regarded as Australian birds, for a very tenuous reason. In 1988 a greater flamingo dropped in on North Keeling Island, a remote Australian territory 2750km north-west of Perth, staying a couple of months."

This picture was taken in the Swakopmund/Walvis Bay area of Namibia, which is a world-renowned feeding area for Greater and Lesser Flamingos, and indeed a birdwatcher's paradise for water birds particularly in summer. The other birds depicted are Common Sandpipers and Sanderlings (also Australian species). A foggy, grey day, as is common at the time of year.
EquipmentSony A65 with Sony 70-300 G lens at 280mm, ISO 100, 1/1000 sec, f6.3.
LocationWalvis Bay/Swakopmund, Namibia, Unknown
