| Comment | For the past three years, a pair of kookaburras has nested in a hole in one of our old eucalyptus trees. This year they have two chicks that are hungry, noisy and quarrelsome. The picture shows one of the parent birds bringing a skink to the nest hole which is in the out of focus tree in the background. With nesting kookaburras, butcherbirds and wattle birds, needless to say there are no small birds around our garden at the moment. | ||||||||||||||||||
