CommentA Stilt on Stilts! This Pied Stilt lived up to its name as its reflection in the waters of the T-Section Lagoon appeared to double the length of its already long pink legs. This one was doing repeated loud yekking calls, perhaps to a juvenile who was nearby. The Pied Stilt feeds mainly on insects and invertebrates on or close to the water surface. Its long legs give it a height advantage in surveying its prey within a wide radius.
