CommentMeet 'Squish', believed to be 18-20 years of age. He has held the same small territory for many years squished in between two rival males of similar status. One of his neighbours died this year so it will be interesting to see if Squish expands his territory next breeding season or if a younger male moves in to take over the vacant territory.
EquipmentCanon 5Ds + 100 mm f/2.8 macro, 600EX-RT flash, hand-held.
Manual, spot metering, AI Servo spot AF, f/8, 1/200 sec, ISO 800, 1/8 flash power.
Processed using DPP4 and PSE14 with Neat Image plug-in.
