CommentAlways busy seeking out flowers, the Western Spinebill is rarely at rest and though locally common, these small honeyeaters are often noted only upon arriving with a whir of buzzing wing flapping. In the Darling Ranges during spring, in areas of woodlands and low shrub, the birds will come down quite low to forage.
