CommentI was photographing birds that were on the other side of the dam when I became aware of movement on the bank off to the right, I turned my head slowly to see these little cuties hopping around chasing I guess insects that I couldn't see. The disadvantage of using a tripod always becomes very apparent in situations such as this. I had to shuffle left from my seated position then down a bit as I was on quite a slope and back into my tripod, then of course I had to kneel instead of sitting so as I could use my camera. I slowly spun my camera around hoping that they would stay and they did. It would have been nice to have them both in focus, I was too excited to worry about that I just took a few shots before they left. I photographed a pair bathing a few hours later much further away this time, possibly the same pair.
