CommentA common feeding behaviour of Pink Eared Ducks is to spiral in twos or small groups, presumably to stir up material for filter feeding. The birds spin round like propellers, heads close together. This pair was one of a number of birds on the wetland, nearly all performing this behaviour. The photo also shows clearly the pink spots which give rise to their name.
