CommentUnusual behaviour - Chestnut Breasted Mannikins picking algae out of water. The recent rain had supplied about 100 mm of water to our top dam, and algae quickly grew on the top of the water. Mannikins were picking out pieces of algae and eating it. It was difficult to get a group shot due to weeds waving in the wind. This individual shot was the best to be had.
EquipmentNikon D7500 - Nikon 200 - 500mm Lens - ISO1000 (auto iso) f 7.1 - spot focus (3d) and spot exposure. Shutter speed will vary.
