| Comment | A female Carnaby's black cockatoo that I've photographed in the same location more than once. She felt deeply engaged during the shoot, chatting with me, watching curiously the entire time as I paid her compliments as I slid backwards on the ground as she perched too close for my 600mm to focus. I enjoy the low key 'noir' style monochromatic treatment as I feel it enhances the feeling of intimacy. I don't mind at all that some areas of the black feathers fade into the darkness as this image is meant to be more a creative impression than a literal documentary image | ||||||||||||||||||
