| Comment | Musk Ducks spend so much time lying low in the water, or submarining below, that you don’t often see what they look like underneath, mainly just the head and shoulders and bristly erect tail as they swim through the water or engage in splashy courting displays. Here is a male stretching his wings before submerging again for another dive. His huge throat lobe, pale belly, and white wing panels can be seen in the photo. | ||||||||||||||||||
