CommentThis photo was taken just after sunrise over the lake. The sandpiper flew from the other side of the lake to the shore where I was laying down. I entered the image for the competition because of the beautiful wings of the bird flying nearly touching the water surface, and the soft, golden light of the early morning. I chose the big crop to show the beautiful colour of the early morning light, the calm water and the bird is like dancing over the water.
Equipmentequipment used : nikon D500 with nikkor 200-500mm, f/5.6 lens.
