CommentThe Australian National Botanical Gardens has a number of large cylindrical concrete plant tubs, some three quarters of a meter in diameter, with circular drainage holes. These holes are very attractive to Spotted Pardelotes as potential nesting holes. This is one of a pair which had just commenced the task of excavating the nest hole; note the sandy material on the bill. Seen here calling to its mate nearby.
