CommentI am submitting this image because I like the clear feather detail on the bird, good eye-contact and it clearly shows the white lores which identifies this as ssp capito. For a bird that is mostly located in dark, wet forest, this individual was unobstructed, and fully visible near the bird bath.

Lens : Panasonic-Leica 100-400/F4.0-6.3
Exposure 1/250 sec; F8; ISO 6400; Lens focal length 300mm
Processed in Photoshop Elements. The bird was selected and noise reduction applied using Neat Image software. Shadows and highlights were subsequently enhanced, the image was cropped and resized, and sharpness adjusted.
