In the bird category, I think photos I've seen from some of our members could easily match those receiving awards in the competition - in the end it comes down to the competition judges and their subjective view of what make a great photo (as well as getting a technically excellent image). Regardless, it's worth taking a look to see what was awarded in what is arguably the most respected wildlife competition in the world, run by the Natural History Museum in London.

Hi Glenn,

The standard of the winning entries is certainly high, but I agree with you that it definitely overlaps with the best from BLP. If you get a chance to view the travelling exhibition it's worth the time - I saw the previous one when it came to Launceston Tas and a close-up view of large prints of the winning entries was stunning.
