I'm starting a new post for more of the shots I took. I'll add further as I get to more of the shots.

Being a die-hard for technical stuff, the capture details were:
Camera: Canon 80D (same as I use for my bird photos)
Lenses: I used two lenses. My EF-S 10-18mm zoom for super-wide angle shots and EF-S 18-135mm for wide to short telephoto shots.

All images done with ambient light and processed and converted to jpg using Canon Digital Photo Professional v4 with minimal processing (mainly white balance and lighting adjustments).

I think this is Ian Smissen filling in attendees about the field trips.

President Graham Cam talking about the 'one that got away' - actually it was his talk on Luminosity masks!

Les Peters talk on bird videos

Keith Lightbody "Using natural light"

Graham Cam, Rob Parker and others trying to solve a technical problem in the brand new lecture theater!

Kim Wormald's presentation "From Muddles to Medals"

Ian Wilson presenting on flight photography

Here's 8 more shots (the limit per post)...

Brian O'Leary giving his very entertaining presentation on his techniques for bird photography - many laughs and a few raised eyebrows!

Rob Parker providing his informative talk about the BLP website - a few things I didn't know (hopefully I'll remember them when it matters)!

I think this was the AGM - with Graham Cam presiding

Canon collective presentation: a very comprehensive and excellent set of talks although I don't think the contents will be provided by Canon for commercial reasons?

Professional wildlife photographer and tour operator David Burren talking about his approach to wildlife photography - interestingly he was mainly using Sigma lenses on his Canon bodies

Georgina Steytler receiving her award for best DSLR photo of the year: one of many awards she received at DPITB

A very chuffed Tim Van Leeuwen receiving his 'silver' for the 2016 Advanced Competition results

Rob Parker receiving his lifetime membership award for outstanding service.

The last few...

I think this is Deanne Gaskill receiving her award for most improved photographer (based on competition results)

Ian Wilson delivering one of his presentations.
