| Comment | I waited in the car while a few showers passed. There weren’t many people around when I jumped out. Everything was fresh and sparkling with raindrops. I saw a flash of orange and heard their calls. The Southern Emu-wrens suddenly appeared after the rain and it was sheer joy to watch them! This distinctive little bird with it’s beautiful orange and blue coloring is a favourite of mine. I wondered about the logic and utility of that plumage until I saw it against the granite that day. I’ve selected this image because it's relatively sharp (a rarity for me) and I like the detail. I’m learning basic Lightroom so I’ve tried a few adjustments, but my preference is ‘less is more’ | ||||||||||||||||||
