CommentA Crimson rosella feasting upon something on a bed of gravel - possibly the gravel itself. Although a guess, I am assuming that the grit helps with the digestion of seeds, however I am hopeful that somebody on here might have an understanding and explanation of this practice? There were three birds in total doing the same.
