CommentI watched a pair of these nuisance birds move into my backyard some years ago. Two became three, thee became five, and now they dominate the landscape, having successfully driven off the Eastern Spinebills, Spotted Pardalotes and for some reason they have started escorting Eastern Rosellas to other locations also, even though they rely on completely different food sources.
I do not photograph them often, although it is hard to say no when they are perched like this in perfect evening sunshine.
