CommentAnother view of a Black Kite in flight, in morning sunlight against the background of the You Yangs in the distance. One of the Black Kite features noted by Seaton, Gilfedder and Debus (“Australian Birds of Prey in Flight: Photographic Guide”, 2019) is the “strongly fork-shaped tail that is constantly tilting and twisting” and “long slender wings”, both of which are very evident in this image, as too is the pale carpal bar on the upperwings.
