CommentReed Warblers can be elusive creatures, darting as they do in and between the rushes and reeds, and seeming to never stay in the one spot for very long, and then, if they do, generally have some obstructing reed that spoils the photo. Fortunately, this one, no doubt very pleased with itself, was preoccupied with the large dragonfly it had just caught, and allowed me to take a full length portrait. Its fresh brown plumage and faint eye stripe are shown, as too is the sparkle in its eye over its hunting prowess.
