CommentFirst nursery floor joist for the new season? At this subject distance it was difficult to get enough 'pixels on the bird', but I thought the IQ held reasonably well and the subject had a certain appeal. I thought of removing the background tree trunks, but left them in as they seem to add to sense of place. This is ssp striatus, distinguished by the yellow wing spot, common in Tasmania in breeding season but mostly migrating to the SE mainland in autumn and winter.

EF 400 f/4 DO IS II + 1.4x TC III, at 560mm, centre spot servo AF, handheld
