CommentBased on the behaviour and the posing I observed, the latter which is seen here, I am convinced that this is a young female Red-capped Parrot just about to put on her adult plumage prior to her first breeding season. She was calling loudly for an adult male, and as he flew in to alight just below her on the same perch an instant later, this was her greeting to him. I believe that she is inviting him to mate, but then the pair saw me and adopted their ‘concerned stance’ for a moment, whereafter they flew off. Time of capture 09:59.
