CommentIt was late in the evening when I found a family of Eurasian Coots on a pond in central Perth, and the fading light and shadows made shooting hand-held very tricky. With perseverance I was able to capture an intimate moment as a parent passed food to one of its chicks. I like how the moody feel the shadows and soft light gave this image.
EquipmentCanon EOS 1DX MKII, Canon 500mm F4 L, Canon 1.4x III TC, F/5.6, 1/400, ISO 2500 and post-processed using DPP4, PS & Neat Image plug-in.
