CommentIn February there was much excitement in the ACT Birding Community when at least two pairs of Azure Kingfishers had made a home in Cotter Reserve. Naturally I spent many hours sitting awaiting this opportunity which made my year! I had not seen one let alone got such a great shot since I was in Kakadu in 2017. I was fortunate this day and got many shots but I liked this one as the bird returned from a dive with some water weed in its mouth. Very happy it landed on a rock in front of me which I was praying for. these are the days when you know that Bird Photography is a sublime pastime.
