CommentSubmerged in inches, I waited for the sun to rise and the birdlife to wake. As first light broke over the inlet, it revealed a mist rising off the water and I saw two Pelicans approaching each other. Seeing a chance to capture the mood and light of a chilly morning, I focussed on them as they came together and struck opposite poses. The image has an ethereal quality, the partly silhouetted hill providing the perfect backdrop to highlight the mist in this very cool but serene scene.
