CommentVery late in the afternoon I was sitting at a dam in the Killarney State Conservation Area photographing the birds as they came in to drink. At about 6.30 pm the sun was getting low in the west and the shadows in the forest were deepening. Not far from where I was sitting these two Juvenile Eastern Rosellas landed on some dead timber and sat quietly before coming down to the edge of the dam. I was lucky that they sat quietly for a few minutes, as I had to drop my shutter speed down to 200sec as the light was fading. I think the result is quite pleasing.

1/200sec @ f/5.6 600mm ISO 800 Spot metering. Processed in Lightroom , Topaz DeNoise AI and Photoshop.
