CommentOn an overcast day I visited the local jetty where some gulls and terns were perching, and experimented with some high-key, close-up profile shots, capturing this Greater Crested Tern in a preening pose that emphasises its beautiful, yellow bill and black cap.
EquipmentCanon EOS 1DX MKII, Canon 500mm F4 IS L, Canon 2x III TC, F/8, 1/1600, ISO 2500 and post-processed using DPP4 and PS.
