Comment | Here an immature male Australian King Parrot looks back at us as we turn a bend on the Baldry Circuit Walk in Mornington National Park. Its immature plumage makes him easily confused with the female Australian King Parrot, which also has a green head and neck. However, the flecks of red on his crown, and his reddish throat just below his beak, clearly indicate an immature male. One of those confusing identification problems for newcomers to bird watching! | ||||||||||||||||||
