CommentAnother unusual pose of this Heron keeping local birders curious about this behaviour. Had been for a swim so I guess drying the underside of the wings. Nice to capture in mid-call too which is actually very loud! Light was just right and willow tree background a little busy but still happy as a behavioural frame that you can't get every day.
