CommentThis is one of the first pictures of a bird in flight that I have taken with the new Nikon Z7ii mirrorless. The new model was far more responsive and rapid in its autofocus than the previous Nikon Z7 model, which tended to dither when it came to taking birds in flight. The photo captures this Sulphur Crested Cockatoo taking off from a huge River Red Gum besides the Moonee Ponds Creek at Woodlands Historic Park. Its wings are beautifully outstretched to reveal the yellow in its underwing and undertail.
