CommentTerek Sandpiper's have very similar plumages regardless of age. However, this one is assumed to be immature bird due to wear on retained juvenile coverts. Terek Sandpipers are considered to 3CY breeders (most spend first austral winter in Australia and do not migrate north until 2 years old) and as such this bird can be regarded as immature rather than adult in no-breeding plumage
