CommentSubspecies calidus of the Peregrine Falcon which appears to be a rare migrant to Australia, breeding in Siberia. They specialise in hunting wetland birds. This individual was observed killing a duck. I managed some distant photos of this but they are't of sufficient quality to publish here.
