CommentMy approach to capturing the feeding actions of the parents was to use Live View with focus tracking on the rear screen. I simply fixed the movable spot on the juveniles, and waited for the parent to start its approach, then fired multiple shots at maximum speed (electronic first curtain shutter). Use of tracking meant I didn't have to keep the camera absolutely steady as long as the juveniles were in the focus area. Camera was hand-held but lens was resting on the rim of a hide window. If I had been peering through a viewfinder it would have been less easy to watch the parent birds moving in and time the shots.
