CommentI was fortunate to be on a bird walk earlier in the week and the leader pointed out the difference in calls between this and the new holland honeyeater. Keen to see this bird for the first time I listened intently and was excited to finally see it. These birds were located on the limestone scrub just up from the lake. The bird was stunning with white cheeks appearing like velvet.
