CommentI took this image at our local lake earlier in the year. I found the photo fascinating as it is hard to tell where the ground finishes and where the reflection begins. There is a lot happening in this image as the reflections are not only of the birds but of their surroundings as well. One reason why I chose to enter this image is that I liked the way the soft colours of these Plumed-whistling Ducks reflect beautifully in the water,creating an almost ghostly effect. I did not crop this image as I wanted to keep plenty of space around the ducks. I also applied some vignetting.

1/[email protected]/5.6 ISO 800 focal length 600mm Spot Metering. Tripod. Raw file processed in Lightroom and Topaz deNoise AI .Transferred to photoshop for downsizing and final sharpening before saving.
