CommentThis owlet had fledged three weeks previously. It was one of a pair and I was glad to see this one awake and bobbing its head from side to side. I understand this action is necessary for the owl to look from side to side because its eyes are fixed in position. Extra cuteness is added by the two small heart-shaped chevrons on the owlets left chest.
EquipmentCamera: Nikon D500. Lens: Nikkor AF-S 200-500mm zoom. Focal length 450mm. Aperture: f/8. ISO: 1600. Exposure: 1/750s. Hand-held.
