| Comment | The Kentish Plover is a rare visitor to Australian shores. This bird was spotted on the sandbanks at Noosa. A visit to Noosa for a weekend ensured a few opportunities to see and photograph it. After using a spotting scope to find it among Red-capped plovers and Double-banded Plovers, I kayaked across,camera in a wet bag found a spot in the mud to lie with the sun behind me and dressed in camouflage.A bit of belly crawl then I waited for the rising tide to push the birds toward me.This image is pretty much as it was taken just cropped. | ||||||||||||||||||
