CommentA Brown Falcon on the ground ready for take of after devouring its prey. While this magnificent raptor is great in flight this stance on the ground shows the front body shape and legs really well and the top of the tail feathers. I was on a mound so I was looking down onto the bird for a change from the usual eye level or flight shot. Great light, sharp and good feather detail with catch light.
